Our satin ribbons have developed since the glossy fabrics first made in Italy in the 12th century. However, our ribbons retain the traditional look of satin with a glossy and a dull side. While satin was once made exclusively of silk, just like many other satins, our ribbon is made with polyester, acetate, nylon, and rayon. Our 630 satin range of ribbons comes with a woven edge while our acetates (made of cellulose/ wood extract) are fused edge.

For a locked tie, opt for grosgrain (made of rayon and silk with a very narrow horizontal ribbed weave), an unbleached cotton or a satin picot. These types of ribbon are easier to tie than satins and stay bowed for longer.  For a 100% hassle free bow option on 1000 bows or more, go for our pre-made bow service.
