What’s the cost of having a carrier bag printed for my business?
The cost of a carrier bag printed depends on lots of factors. But the single biggest influence is the quantity of bags you order.
For orders of less than 3000 units, the cost can be as much as 50% more expensive than ordering (say) 5000! 50% more can be the difference between paying £1 per bag or £2.00 per bag. But for smaller retailers or independent brands this can be at least a few years worth of stock which is heavy on the cashflow and difficult to store.
We can offer storage on all our carrier bags orders and by ordering in bulk and planning ahead you can benefit from the lower prices of our Chinese factory which can be 50% less than our European factory. However, for orders less than 5000 units, our prices are still the cheapest in the U.K which is why we have our price match guarantee. And we can deliver within 4 weeks instead of 10 weeks!
So by ordering as many bags as possible and manufacturing them in our China factory helps drive the cost down significantly.
We are also often asked to quote with and without special print techniques; foiling, embossing, U.V’ing, applying a print inside the bag or a texture on the outside of the bag.
From our experience (and we have over 10 years experience in producing bags!), these special print techniques do not play a significant role in reducing the cost of the bag – We believe its better to buy the printed bag design you like and stick with that design for a few years.
